Ron Dwyer-Voss
Ron Dwyer-Voss is the owner and founder of Pacific Community Solutions, Inc.. He has worked in community development and organizing since 1982. Since that time Ron has been a community organizer, community development corporation director, leadership development coach and trainer as well as an elected school board member. He is also a Fellow at the North American ABCD Center, based in Chicago, Illinois.
Ron has a Masters in Urban Planning and Policy, a Masters in Theology and received his formal community organizing training while organizing on the south-side of Chicago. Since then his work has focused on faith based communities, African-American, Latino and SouthEast Asian communities and a mix of urban and rural communities. He is the past chairperson of the National Community Building and Organizing Initiative of NeighborWorks America.
Ron lives with his family in Northern California where he enjoys hiking, biking, snowboarding and anything to do with water and boats. He is also an avid baseball fan, an active member of a Lutheran church and a sincere but inconsistent practitioner of meditation and yoga.
Pacific Community Solutions, Inc. offers training, technical assistance, consultation and speaker services to nonprofit organizations, local governments, community organizations, collaboratives and private-public partnerships.
Our focus is community building and organizing, using the Asset Based Community Development approach. We believe that programs are more effective and sustainable when designed and driven by the participants they are intended to benefit. The challenge is implementing community engagement, mobilization and action. We can help.
