Powerful People, Effective Programs is written by me, Ron Dwyer-Voss. I have over 25 years experience in community organizing and community development. I have worked primarily in the private, not-for-profit sector and benefitted from experience in rural, urban, farmworker, native (American, Hawaiian and Alaskan), African-American, Latino, Southeast Asian, low-income, middle class, working class communities, and communities that mix many of the above. I have learned from all of them and for since 2006 I have run my own training and consulting business, Pacific Community Solutions, Inc.
This blog is to share what I have learned from others, what I am learning from the ferociously fast changing context we live and work in, and to inspire or provoke others to share what they know. My hope is that you will find some thoughts here that are useful to you, and that you share some that might be useful to others. We are are nothing without each other.
